PetroAlex Tower in Geneva Business District begins construction

Geneva, Alexandria - A groundbreaking ceremony took place today in the Geneva Business District today, kicking off the construction of the future headquarters of Pétrole et Gaz d'Alexandria, PetroAlex Tower.

PetroAlex Tower shall be 125 m (411 ft) high, with 32 floors. The Tower is originally designed to allow for many more floors to be built later as market conditions warrant. At the center of the building, there will be a large open space where more elevators can be inserted into the building to accommodate additional floors. The building is designed by Lopez-Muriel Associates, Inc., a major architect firm in Geneva. The building will house the vast majority of the headquarters of Pétrole et Gaz d'Alexandria, while leaving plenty of office real estate to be rented to other companies or organizations.

The PetroAlex Tower will be owned by Pétrole et Gaz d'Alexandria.

PetroAlex administration announces regulations

Geneva, Alexandria - The administration of Pétrole et Gaz d'Alexandria has announced the following regulations and policies are in place in the company:

• His Imperial Majesty's Government owns 51% of Pétrole et Gaz d'Alexandria;
• No shareholders are allowed to own more than 10% of the company;
• Foreigners, or individuals who are not Alexandrian citizens, cannot control more than 25% of the company.

His Imperial Majesty's Government reserves the right to reduce its share of the company by selling off its shares and initiating privatzation.

PetroAlex to build natural gas facilities in New Alexandria

Geneva, Alexandria - The administration of Pétrole et Gaz d'Alexandria has announced the construction of the proper infrastructure in the colony of New Alexandria to exploit its vast natural gas deposits. Two natural gas processing plants, or fractionators, will be built within the next year, at a cost to be funded by PetroAlex and legislative appropriations.
