Pomp and pageantry herald arrival of Stormarkian ambassador

palace of versaillesWesloderia, Baudrix; ABCC News – Traditional evening gowns, fancy tuxedos, vibrant colors, fireworks and stellar musical performances mixed with politics and diplomacy at this year’s first state dinner at the Palace of Wesloderia, a celebration in honor of Björn Ironfist, the Stormarkian Deputy Lord Warden to the Outland.

Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Iphigénie, outshone all in a strapless, cream and gold silk chiffon gown with a sparkling silver floral design. His Imperial Majesty wore a tuxedo, and a lapel pin with the Alexandrian and Stormarkian flags intertwined.

The after-dinner entertainment program was led by Jean-Baptiste Ducruet, conductor of the Military Band of His Imperial Majesty’s Household. The program was conducted partly in the Hall of Mirrors, but then was moved to a pavilion in the Palace Gardens, where His Imperial Majesty himself entertained guests by playing piano and supplying vocals for one of his favorite songs. Her Imperial Majesty also performed as well.

The large guest list also was a study in contrasts, mixing politicians of different affiliations, musical talent, prominent members of the Stormarkian community in Alexandria, among others.
