Outspoken UG professor murdered in hail of gunfire

Geneva, Alexandria; ABCC News – University of Geneva professor Evette Mélissa Cousteau (pictured right) was killed by a group of four masked gunmen while waiting at a bus stop nearby the University of Geneva campus. Several other students were wounded in the hail of gunfire that claimed Mrs. Cousteau’s life. The assailants were armed with MP-5 submachineguns and jumped into a speeding Sedan after they made sure she was dead. Several students standing nearby her were injured in the hail of gunfire.

Cousteau, 34 years old, was an outspoken left-wing activist. She has been a strong critic of the Monarchy, Alexandria’s foreign policy, the Conservative Party, and especially the government’s current policies on abortion and gay rights. Her supporters speculate that the government and conservative elements in the military are responsible for the murder, but this has been denied vehemently by those accused. Geneva Police, as well as other law enforcement agencies, are investigating the murder.
